Customer Background and Processing Needs
The client operates a fresh produce packing house in Ghana. Their business supplies mangoes and pineapples to retail chains and export markets, where buyers expect clean skin, consistent fruit size, and shelf-ready presentation. Before this project, most of the work was done manually or with small, standalone equipment. That created three recurring problems:
- Inconsistent cleaning quality, especially for soil and latex stains on pineapples
- Slow manual sorting that could not keep up with peak harvest volumes
- No controlled waxing and drying step, which shortened shelf life during sea freight

This commercial fruit washing machine uses rotating brush rollers and high-pressure spray to remove stubborn dirt and pineapple latex. The 2.5 mm thick side plates give the frame extra rigidity for continuous operation.

After washing, fruit passes over the roller dryer. Fourteen fans blow off surface water quickly, while the drip tray collects runoff to keep the floor dry.

The waxing section applies a thin food-grade coating to reduce moisture loss. The 1.5 m drying section then sets the wax with heated air and four dedicated fans.
